Contact Ohaus

Ohaus application requests should start with the measurement record.

Send enough context for the response team to separate product category, approval path, and calibration needs. That context keeps the first reply focused and reduces the chance that a catalog item is discussed before the operating condition is understood.

A

Application Desk

Use the form for weighing, force, lab, or environmental monitoring requests. Include range, target readability, product environment, and the report format your team expects.

E

Email Routing

Category requests are routed by product family and documentation requirement. Legal-for-trade, GMP, HACCP, and environmental monitoring applications should name the relevant approval region.

Routine calibration paperwork may target a 48 h turnaround after scope confirmation. Complex multi-site or regulated requests need application files before timing can be confirmed.

A useful Ohaus inquiry does not need to be long, but it should be precise. For a balance, include capacity, readability, minimum sample weight, environment, and whether the record supports GMP, internal quality, or research work. For a bench scale or checkweigher, include package weight, line speed, rejection logic, OIML/NTEP/MID needs, and whether a k=2 expanded uncertainty report is required. For environmental or gas monitoring, include target gas or parameter, alarm level, bump-test practice, and response expectations.

The contact process is intentionally narrow because measurement equipment decisions often involve more than one department. Procurement may ask for price and availability, maintenance may ask about service intervals, engineering may ask about integration, and quality may ask about certificates. A single application note gives those teams a shared starting point. It also prevents broad claims from replacing measurable requirements such as ±0.05% accuracy at a defined condition, OIML Class III verification, or an ISO/IEC 17025 traceability chain.

If the request is early stage, describe the process and the reason for the measurement. If it is a replacement, include the current instrument, failure mode, and certificate gap. Both paths lead to a better shortlist than a product name alone.

Submit the application context.

Capacity, readability, approval region, environment, and certificate expectations are the fastest route to a useful recommendation.
